November 2007 YO Club Winner

Amber Brush of Springfield, Nebraska is the November 2007 YO Club Winner

Owner: Amber Brush
Location: Springfield, NE
Vehicle: '66 Ford Mustang
Color: White with blue racing stripes
Engine: 302
Length Of Ownership: 2-1/2 Years
Primary Use: Driver

Amber Brush is quite the Mustang fan. She purchased this '66 hardtop a little less than three years ago after finding it listed for sale in her local paper as a project car.

The car was in extremely rough shape when she looked at it (it needed floors and had body rust everywhere). While the owner said he had a lot of people look at the car, the condition it was in scared most of them away. Amber felt the tired Mustang deserved another chance, and she made an offer. With cash changing hands, she became the hardtop's latest owner and brought the Mustang home.

Originally straight-six powered, she put a 302 and FMX transmission into the Mustang, along with a five-lug, 8-inch rear. The entire suspension was replaced and upgraded as well. After two years of hard work and several thousand dollars, Amber's Mustang now runs like a top, and she drives it every chance she gets. "Whenever I'm cruising in my Mustang, I get several thumbs-up and lookers. No one ever believes a girl did all this work. I'm already starting my next project-a '65 Mustang fastback."

The '00 Mustang GT in the background is another of Amber's Mustangs. She'll make some Ford guy the perfect wife someday, don't you think?
