Of course, the Trail that started this whole thing was centered on the Silver Springs Show in Ocala, Florida. This show has done nothing but grow in the last four years, and we hope that it continues to grow by leaps and bounds. Last year's show (and Trail) attendance was huge. Nearly 500 cars participated in the Saturday and Sunday show, and we had 50 cars on the trail. This year, we hope to have the same great weather and even better attendance. On page 65 you will find the entry info for the show. How can you go wrong? The thing is free to the first 500 entrants. As an added incentive, we will be at the show on Saturday and Sunday with Project '66, Project '68, and The Lazarus Project to give you a chance to view our work and ask questions. We look forward to seeing you there!!

We'll start and end our trail at National Parts Depot in Ocala and run the same route to and from Cedar Key. Cedar Key is on the west coast and has a beautiful view of the Gulf as well as several quaint shops and businesses. Look for more detailed info on Cedar Key next month. Our trail will begin with a tour of the Schmidt Collection as well as a tour of the National Parts Depot facility. From there the trail will meander the 75 miles to Cedar Key.

The RouteWe exit the facility and head north on SW 38th Street to FL-40. At FL-40 we will turn left. We will try and have an officer hold traffic for us at this intersection. We will run FL-40 to Highway 41 south. At Highway 41 we will turn south and head to Dunnellon. On the other side of Dunnellon, we will regroup and head north and then west on FL-336 to Highway 19. At Otter Creek we will head southwest on FL-24 through Rosewood, Sumner, and finally to Cedar Key. Our return trip will follow the same route.

We cannot know how many cars will attend and therefore cannot easily predict the times that we will reach our stops along the way. It is best and the most fun to join up at the start and run the trail from there.
