August 2-3, Amarillo, TXTexas Panhandle Mustang Club's 2002 Ford Fun Day. Friday cookout 7 p.m.-9 p.m. Saturday participant vote car show 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Swap meet and pony corral also available. Open to all Mustangs, Shelbys, and Boss cars. Sponsored by the Texas Panhandle Mustang Club and John Chandler Ford, Inc. Show location is I-40 and Ross Street. August 3, Austin, TXThe Mustang Owners Club of Austin, Texas, is pleased to announce their 22nd Annual Round-Up, Mustang & Ford Car Show on Saturday, August 3rd, at Rudy's BBQ, 11570 Research Blvd. Hwy 183). Early registration before July 26 is $20/car, additional cars $15/each. After July 26, registration will be $30/car. Rain date will be Sunday, 4 August. August 3, Chesapeake, VAMustang Club of Tidewater proudly hosts The Mid Atlantic Car show at the Chesapeake City Park. All makes, Models and vendors welcome 1st, 2nd and 3rd places awarded in all classes, Best in show, Judges Choice and Club Participation awarded also. August 4, Bourbannais, ILNorthern Mustang Corral hosts its 12th Mustang & Ford Powered Car Show at Court Street Ford, 558 Latham Drive. 37 overall classes with 28 classes for Mustangs. Dash plaques for the first 150 cars. Well organized participant judging; modified MCA tech inspections per class; club discretion for classes. Music and games, food on site, restaurants within walking distance. Recommended hotels in walking distance of shopping mall. Registration fee $10 by July 26, day of show, $15. August 4, Erie, PALake Erie Mustang Owners Club and Sears Tire & Auto Center present the 14th Annual Mustang Round-Up at Sears Tire & Auto Center at Millcreek Mall. Nine Mustang classes (196411/42-present) three trophies per class plus two Best of Show (196411/42-'79 and 1980-present) and other special awards. Awards presented at 4 p.m. Wall plaques to all participants. Registration 9 a.m.-noon. Preregistration $10; day of show $12. All proceeds benefit Greater Erie Area Habitat for Humanity. August 9-11, Ft. Worth, TX13th Annual Yellow Rose Classic Charity Show hosted by the North Texas Mustang Club. This is the largest all-Ford indoor car and truck show in the Southwest. Over 200 cars and trucks will be on display at the Will Rogers Exhibits Hall. Any Ford, any year; must be Ford-powered. Judged by detail, workmanship, and cleanliness.
