Posing for another group shot at the finish is our vintage Mustang brigade. These three cars are proof that a well-prepped vintage Mustang is an ideal car for a ride down Highway 318. A restored car, a serious restomod, and even a magazine project car, all make for great fun at the NORC/SSCC events. New or rebuilt suspensions, along with good tires, brakes, and healthy engines, are all important for making sure an older Mustang can handle consistent speeds in the 100-130-mph range. All three of these cars have T5 five-speed overdrive transmissions.
