Almost lost in the glitter... Almost lost in the glitter of SEMA's outdoor displays was Kenny Brown's (www.kennybrown.com) CSR-69 concept. Billed as a tribute to the Trans-Am Mustangs of the late '60s and early-'70s, the CSR-69 showcases Brown's new '69 Styling Package, which includes raised rear quarter-panels with an integrated spoiler and sidescoops, deletion of the quarter-window, and front-fender air extractors. Overlook the slightly misaligned... Overlook the slightly misaligned push buttons on this vintage Mustang radio, because it's actually the first prototype of Custom Auto Sounds' (www.custom-autosound.com) brand-new AM/FM radio for '65-'66 Mustangs. The Ring Brothers, Mike and... The Ring Brothers, Mike and Jim, are riding at the top of the Mustang restomod movement, so it was no surprise to find their latest creation in the Optima Batteries' (www.optimabatteries.com) booth. Dean Satterfield from TMI's... Dean Satterfield from TMI's Classic Automotive Interiors (www.tmiproducts.com) gave us the SEMA tour of its new products, which includes new upholstery and foam for '69-'70 Mach 1 seats,... ...reproduction upholstery... ...reproduction upholstery for '87-'93 Mustangs (cloth, vinyl, and some leather), and Mach 1-style seat covers with matching door-panel inserts for '05-'06 Mustangs. Longtime Mustanger Rick Ciemeny... Longtime Mustanger Rick Ciemeny works at Halibrand Engineering (www.halibrand.com), so it's no surprise that he put together a new Mustang GT to showcase Halibrand's Eleanor-style 18-inch Cobra III wheels for modern musclecars. Stainless Steel Brakes' Mike... Stainless Steel Brakes' Mike Jonas was excited about his company's new Prop-Block, which combines the brake-line distribution block and proportioning valve into one piece, eliminating the need for separate units and additional plumbing. A built-in brake-light warning switch is also part of the deal. Check out all of SSBC's new products at www.ssbrakes.com. Former Ford drag racer Hubert... Former Ford drag racer Hubert Platt, known in the '60s as the Georgia Shaker, came to SEMA with his own Signature Edition '06 Mustang. Built by Shadrach Mustangs (www.shadrachmustang.com), the Platt & Payne Mustang is loaded with modifications, including an Al Moody-built powerplant with twin Precision turbos and a Kinsler 8-stack injector system. Price: $152,000.
