SEMA Las Vegas - Wild 'Stangs And New Thangs

Dynacorn International The big news for vintage Mustangs came from the Dynacorn International display, featuring a new '67 Mustang fastback body from the company's Classic Bodies division. Dynacorn's Larry Brogdin told us that the Mustang body is almost ready for production. In fact, the company is waiting on approval from Ford's licensing division before making the body available to anyone who wants to build a restomod or race car. Much of the sheetmetal, including the cowl panels (see "How to Replace a Cowl Panel," Nov. '06, p. 42), is already available separately for factory Mustang restorations. Based on Ford's approval, other Mustang bodies-including '65-'66 and '69-'70-will follow. Dynacorn International, 805/486-2612; www.dynacorn.com. |

Racing Head Service Most factory configuration small-block Fords are limited by cylinder-head airflow efficiency. RHS has changed that with the introduction of the new Pro Action Windsor and 5.0 cylinder heads, available in aluminum or cast iron. The RHS-designed and engineered Clean Cast Technology has created a new head, providing optimum flow and delivering excellent versatility. Compatible with all original equipment and aftermarket performance parts, these heads offer several unique features, such as high-volume exhaust ports, a dual-bolt pattern, and excellent port-to-chamber transitions. The cylinder heads are available in 180cc, 200cc, and 215cc intake-runner volumes and use 2.02-inch or 2.08-inch diameter intake valve sizes, depending on runner volume. Exhaust valves are 1.60-inch diameter. Racing Head Service, 877/776-4323, 901/259-1134; www.racingheadservice.com. |

Professional Products Several 4.6 Two-Valve parts were introduced at SEMA by Professional Products, including a Typhoon EFI intake manifold in a polished or satin finish developed in conjunction with Anderson Ford Motorsport (AFM). According to Professional Products, this manifold has been dyno tested to produce more than 20 hp at the rear wheels, compared to a stock manifold at 6,500 rpm. Features include a three-piece design, allowing easy access to the bottom and the middle of the plenum chamber along with the runners for those who want additional porting. The manifold is a bolt-in replacement for '99-'04 engines and uses the stock alternator and other factory engine accessories. It can be used on '96-'98 engines if '99-'04 PI heads are used. Other items for 4.6 Two-Valves are also available, including a fuel rail kit, an upper plenum, polished or satin 70mm and 75mm throttle bodies, and a harmonic balancer.
