These numbers don't correspond to a stock SCJ, of course, because he had modified the engine to Super Stock specs and ran slicks. Later, he rebuilt the engine to stock specifications and pretty much let it sit in his garage. Only lately has he bothered to show the car.
The good news for collectors is this Mach 1 is a 4,500-mile original that remains pretty much "as-is" after returning from its world tour in late 1970. Eckstrand had removed the Lawman decals, but incredibly, the paint remains original. Basically, it's just been cleaned up. What you see here is what the military men saw in 1970.
