ASC McLaren Ford Mustang Parts - Mr. McLaren

With Capri production ending in 1986, ASC proposed swapping the ASC/McLaren package to the Mustang by building this '85 prototype to show Ford executives. Oddly enough, it's a four-cylinder car, unlike production ASC/ McLarens that had 5.0 engines.

Henry always has a selection of restorable McLarens in his "Restoration Row," along with unsalvageable parts cars in "Death Row."

You'll never see another nose like this. It's a prototype added to an '85 Capri. Also notice the Lincoln Mark VII headlights and Mustang hood. The car was originally owned by Heinz Preichter, then owner of ASC, and driven by his wife.
