The KR was still equipped with its original 428 Cobra Jet engine when it arrived at Shelby Parts and Restoration. The 80,000-mile engine was rebuilt with a few minor upgrades, including an enlarged oil pump opening in the block and stainless valves with hardened seats for today's fuels.
