If you have thick aftermarket aluminum pulleys, this reinforcement plate is not needed; however, on stock steel pulleys this included plate needs to be placed over the water pump hub before returning the stock bolts to their location. The plate prevents the pulley from cracking around the bolt holes. View Related Article
