5. Now that we have one of our lower control arms out of the car, you can see the vast improvement a tubular-style arm has over the stock piece. The oval-shaped stock forward bushing was added to the arm for ride compliance, but gives up a lot in handling. The tubular arm is stronger and the smaller urethane bushings do not flex like the large rubber bushings. Installation of the new arm is the reverse of removal; just remember you’ll be using the fasteners provided in the control arm kit.
