Getting the upper off is pretty easy. You'll need to unplug several connectors, including the throttle position sensor (TPS), the EGR, the idle-air controller, and the vent tube that connects the EGR spacer to the oil-filler neck. Once you remove the six bolts that secure the upper to the lower and unplug the hoses underneath the upper that connect to the PCV and vacuum-distribution tree mounted on the firewall, the upper is ready to come off. View Related Article
