Pin Letters On '65-'68 Mustangs: Part Two Of A Two-Part Series

The '67 GT badging came two ways: GT (with a manual transmission) and GTA (with an automatic). We're measuring the GTA for this installment. On the right side, the GTA badge is exactly 14 inches from the upper beltline radius...

...and 5-7/8 inches from the fender's trailing edge. Like the '65-'66, make sure your GT stripes are correct.

On the left side, it's the same drill with the GTA badge: 14 inches from the upper beltline...

...and 5-3/4 inches from the fender's trailing edge.

The Pony and Tri-bar are positioned exactly the same for 1968 on the right side at 7-1/4 inches from the top...

...and 13 inches from the trailing edge. The M U S T A N G script is positioned 5-1/4 inches from the trailing edge (left side of M U S T A N G) and 10-3/8 inches down from the upper beltline radius. The tail of the G should point to the bottom of the Pony and Tri-bar as shown.

On the left side, it's the same story. The Pony and Tri-bar should be 13 inches from the trailing edge...

...and 7-1/4 inches down from the upper beltline radius. The example shown is 14 inches from the trailing edge (a San Jose unit). We suggest 13 inches. The M U S T A N G script should be 4-1/2 inches from the trailing edge and 10-3/8 inches down from the upper beltline radius.
