A Boss 302 block decodes as follows: D0ZE-6015-B. D is for the 1970s, 0 is 1970, Z is for Mustang, and E is for engine. The 6015 is the basic part number and the B is a suffix for alterations to the design; the alteration letters go from A to ZZ.
