Remove the steering column trim covers (if you haven’t already), and then unplug everything on the steering column to prevent damaging wires when the steering column is lowered. This will include the key chime, airbag, horn, ignition switch, and the multifunction switch, which I prefer to completely unbolt. View Related Article
