This is the Stainless Steel...
This is the Stainless Steel Brakes rear disc brake conversion kit, equipped with everything you need to put better binders in back. Included are two complete disc-brake assemblies and all of the hardware necessary to complete the installation. All you need is the steel brake lines from Classic Tube. Your Mustang's parking-brake cables work with this kit.
We have to give the tried and proven drum brake a lot of credit, as it has gotten the job done since its creation more than a century ago. The downside to drum brakes, however, is simple to understand: They fade in hard braking, and they're completely useless when wet, so they will not stop your Mustang.
You know the answer when it comes to your safety and the safety of others-pony up to better rear braking from Stainless Steel Brakes. Here, we show you how to install rear disc brakes on your 8- or 9-inch Mustang rear axle. Hopefully, your Mustang is already equipped with front disc brakes, either from the factory or with one of Stainless Steel Brake's front disc brake conversion kits.
Despite your likely concerns about a rear disc brake conversion, it's not all that challenging to accomplish. Rather, it's an easy bolt-in swap that improves your Mustang's braking effectiveness, and it's usually completed in just a few hours.
