Classic Mustang Horn Repair Mustang Horns
|
Although there are a lot of variations of Mustang horns from ’64½ through the late 1980s, there are only two basic types. The ’64½ Mustang horn (left) mounted to the frame supports behind the radiator on the generator-equipped cars. It can be serviced by cleaning the contact points and freeing up the electromagnet. If the electromagnet is burned out, it can be serviced only by a professional rebuilder who knows how to rewind armatures. The smaller, more compact ’65 and later horns (right) are found on the front of the radiator support. View Related Article
