Here’s a close look at the contact points from ’65-up. Closed, they energize the electromagnet, which oscillates the diaphragm as points cycle open and close hundreds of times a second. These points can be cleaned and dressed. If the electromagnet is burned out, you will either have to find a good one or send yours off to The Horn Works.
