1 The heart of the Modern Driveline conversion kit is a new Tremec T-5 “Z-trans” (referring to Ford Racing’s M-7003-Z) five-speed gearbox. The gear ratios are 2.95:1, 1.94:1, 1.34:1, 1:1, and 0.63:1. The transmission also features double moly hardening on second and third gears and on the countershaft as well. This transmission is rated to handle 330 lb-ft of torque.
