13 To install GM switches, cut both the door and door panel. Because we're going with a gang-switch setup on the driver's door, we cut an opening sized to the switch retainer plate. Based on our experiences, we don't recommend the GM switch unless you intend to build a custom console, and you'll still have to cut sheetmetal somewhere. View Related Article
