With an AMK Products hardware kit and stock alternator spacer, the Mr. AMP installation is a perfect fit that looks factory original. Make sure the positive post doesn't touch the block or any brackets.

Where the original Autolite/Motorcraft alternator is threaded for the adjustment bolt, Mr. AMP calls for a 5/16-inch bolt, a flat washer, a lock washer, and a nut. You can also use a fiber-style lock nut for added security. Keep in mind that you'll need a longer drivebelt because the pulley is larger.
