Grille Watchers The late-model Mustang grille selection is enormous at GAS. We like the '67 Shelby treatment in which GAS moves driving lamps mid-ship. | Grille Watchers There's also the stealthy look of the GT replacement grille-the driving lamps are there, yet not there. These ABS plastic grilles are the right color and fit without special tools. For an extra cost, GAS will paint them any color prior to shipment. | Joys In The Hood GAS has access to virtually every type of aftermarket hood out there. We like the vintage Boss 302 matte-stripe look applied to this '06 Mustang GT, including the Shaker hoodscoop. |
Joys In The Hood If you like hood pins, GAS can do that, too. These are faux hood pins, which offer the looks without having to be disconnected before opening the hood. | Servicing and Installing What It Sells If you live around Southern California and want to spruce up your '05-'07 Mustang, see Chris Whitney in the GAS service shop. Chris built the '06 Boss 302 concept car for Ford Racing Performance Parts in a month, complete with FRPP's new Boss crate engine. Color Your World
When we arrived at the GAS showroom, Steve wanted to show us this '07 Mustang GT that had just been completed for a Galpin Ford customer. Talk about Galpinizing. GAS does custom paint on any Mustang, old or new, through Galpin's dealer body shop, one of the best we've ever seen. Note the matching color detail in the wheels and interior components. GAS can also do this for mail-order customers who want color-keyed wheels and other components.
Scoop De Grce
It's incredible how many aftermarket goodies are available for '05-'07 Mustangs in such a short period of time. Ford worked closely with the aftermarket during the '05 Mustang's development to make sure a wealth of aftermarket performance accessories were available when the car hit the marketplace. That said, check out the easy bolt-on scoops from GAS.
GAS offers a variety of B-pillar scoops for '05-'07 coupes. There's a louvered retro-look scoop that resembles the '65-'68 fastback air extractor, as well as something similar to the scoops on '67-'68 Shelby fastbacks. This is yet another type of pillar scoop. They install quickly with super-sticky double-sided tape. | We like this stick-on sidescoop that resembles the '66-'68 Shelby quarter scoops. Drilling or disassembly of the car isn't required. For an extra cost, GAS can paint them to match your Mustang before shipping. | Here's a contemporary sidescoop from GAS that fits right in with today's Mustang styling. Stick it on in 30 minutes. All you have to do is get it painted to match. |
