Silicone DOT 5-spec fluid is rated at a 500-degree F boiling point, but some manufacturers employ additives that raise boiling point. Read the bottle and decide for yourself. Never mix DOT 5 with DOT 3 and 4 fluid. Make allowances for marketing hype when you're buying fluids. There's nothing really new-no magic brake fluid elixirs out there. View Related Article
