How To Install A High-Performance Starter

The only other wiring needed to install the MSD starter on a vintage Mustang is to run a 14-gauge jumper wire from the starter solenoid to the rear connector on the car's original fender-mounted solenoid. What happens is that the old solenoid is bypassed and no longer used as such because the MSD starter has its own solenoid. Crimp the supplied connector and attach the wire to the tab on the MSD solenoid as shown here. View Related Article
