The angle drill was also a big help on the other side, where we were able to open up the holes with a reamer bit. A slight push of the muffler to move it out of the way allowed the angle drill to easily fit. Again, it was a place where a standard drill wouldn't fit.

With the spacer and link installed, tighten the hardware enough so the bolt protrudes through the nylon locknut, but not so much that it causes the link to bind. The nylon locknut allows the nut and bolt to stay securely tightened and also allows them to be loose enough to allow free movement in the bracket. Also, be sure that the links are installed with the adjustable ends toward the rear.

Securely tighten the Panhard rod in place. Complete the installation by reinstalling the brake lines, driveshaft, and emergency-brake cables. With the car at an alignment shop, adjust the Panhard rod to center the housing and adjust the lower links to set pinion angle.
