The C4's pan is small by today's standards. For a stock six-cylinder application, this pan is adequate. However, if you're going to run a lot of power through your C4, you should opt for a deeper pan. No matter what you do with the C4's stamped steel pan and cork gasket, it's going to leak. This is why some of the cast aluminum aftermarket pans are better. Do the best you can to get the stock pan's mating surfaces true. Because there doesn't appear to be a sandwiched steel silicone gasket available for the C4, we're stuck with cork. View Related Article
