Check for proper grounding between the breaker plate and distributor housing. One mistake we see from time to time is PerTronix Ignitor installations without the ground strap. We also see point applications without their ground straps. Without the ground strap, your odds of getting an engine started are slim. Or the engine will start, then quit. View Related Article
