AOD torque converters are tricky to install because you're dealing with two input shafts - a shaft within a shaft. Carefully seat the torque converter by feel. You should feel it seat twice, first over the smaller overdrive shaft, then the larger main input shaft. Once seated, you shouldn't be able to fit your fingers behind the converter. Spin the converter to make sure it has seated in the front pump. View Related Article
