5 At this point, you'll no doubt notice that the seatbelt, which passes through the quarter trim panel, is making your life miserable. We've been in numerous convertibles for window repairs and the easiest thing to do is simply unbolt the belt retractor assembly for room and to get the panel further out of the way. Remove the two 11mm bolts found at the top of the bracket (one vertical, one horizontal) and then remove the 8mm bolt at the bottom of the bracket's support tube and set the whole thing aside.
