Intake swaps have been popular ever since the invention of the gasoline engine. Ford Racing provides owners of '11-'13 Mustang GTs with a factory swap, offering the short-runner intake from the Boss 302 for optimum flow at higher rpms. Identical to the intake found on the '12-'13 Boss 302, the intake is made from a lightweight composite material and is a direct swap for the original 5.0L intake. Calibration is required, and a Boss 302 Intake Manifold Install Kit, part number M-9444-M50B, is recommended. The Boss 302 intake can be purchased wherever Ford Racing parts are sold.
Corsa Performance Exhausts has introduced new bolt-on exhaust systems for the '11-'12 Mustang GT and V-6, Shelby G.T. 500, and Boss 302. The axle-back exhaust features a dual rear-exit design along with Corsa's patented Reflective Sound Cancellation technology for a muscular exhaust note with no interior resonance. Two sound levels are offered: the Sport system is robust on the throttle while the Xtreme system produces a louder, more aggressive note. Corsa claims an improvement of seven horsepower for the Mustang GT and Boss. Installation hardware and instructions are included.

The bolt-on plates provide a 1.6-degree continuous range of camber adjustment without affecting caster, while 0.7-degree continuous caster adjustment provides correction for OEM production tolerances. You can add to the '11-'12 Mustang GT's heritage looks with a Shaker Hood System from Ford Racing. In fact, Ford engineers specifically designed the stock hood with reinforcement in the stamping for the Shaker scoop. It attaches to the intake manifold through the factory engine cover to provide an appearance – and “shaking” scoop – like the original Shaker from the '69-'70 Mustang. Like the original, it is functional, delivering cold outside air to the OEM air box. Magnuson has released a 50-state Magnacharger supercharger system for the '11-'12 Mustang GT. The centerpiece is the Magnuson MP1900 or MP2300 (buyer's choice) TVS supercharger, a four-lobe, roots-type blower that is highly efficient and very quiet. Testing at 7 psi of boost has shown an increase of 120 rear-wheel horsepower over stock. The supercharger mounts on the engine with an equal-length runner intake manifold that houses an integral air-to-water charge cooler. The Magnacharger includes a pre-programmed, hand-held tuner that reflashes the factory ECU with a revised engine calibration.
