At this point we threw in the towel and decided to change out the engine for, believe it or not, the original engine that came with the car! The 5.0L was rebuilt a few years back and sports ported heads, an E-303 Ford Racing cam, 1.7:1 roller rockers, and a Summit engine kit (pistons, bearings, rings, and so on).
