14 Seals are installed on the ram one at a time with a plastic protector and driven into place. There are two rubber seals; two have spring-loaded lips. There is also a rubber wiper, which goes in last. Seal springs and lips should face inward toward the ram piston and bore, which causes hydraulic pressure to apply pressure against the seal lip for a fail-safe seal. If you install the seals backwards, you will have leakage.
