2. The ’94-’00 dash used a single-DIN radio with optional DIN CD player underneath it. Beginning in ’01, Ford changed the dash structure to allow the new corporate double-DIN setup. Modifying the dash is a simple job if you want the more modern double-DIN audio option for navigation, etc. To remove the ’00 and older bezel, you need to extract the radio unit first, then remove the three retaining screws (one behind the radio and two beneath the radio opening).
