It sounds as if you have a nice pair of cars (a 5.0 and a 4.6), so a pair of new housings on your favorite car (or both) would clear up the problem. Perhaps buy one pair of housings for one car and spend your time and effort on the two least cloudy of the four lenses. If it proves fruitless, new housings will no doubt look great on both cars. Several sources should have the housings available new, including California Mustang (cal-mustang.com); Dallas Mustang (dallasmustang.com); Latemodel Restoration Supply (50resto.com); Mustangs Unlimited (mustangsunlimited.com); Texas Mustang (texasmustang.com); and Year One (yearone.com). '84 Turbo InfoI've had trouble finding out anything about '84 Mustangs equipped with the 2.3-liter Turbo engines except the 20th Anniversary specials. According to Brad Bowling's book, Standard Catalog of Mustang published in 2001 by Krause Publications (700 E. State St., Iola, WI 54990; 715/445-2214; www.krause.com), Ford produced approximately 3,000 Turbo GT hatchbacks and 600 convertibles during '83-'84, disappointingly low numbers which led to the demise of the turbocharged 2.3-liter in the Mustang. Bowling's book also provides other details about the turbo-four Mustangs.
